About Cate

Cate is a qualified teacher; raised by two teachers, married to a teacher, and with five teacher-siblings. She has always been surrounded by people with a passion for teaching and learning – like herself – and for finding ways to reach every student.

Born and raised in the Northern Rivers, Cate then traveled around the world, teaching in both schools and outdoor/adventure environments, before returning home to the Northern Rivers.

Cate is experienced with gifted students and those with special learning needs, and in addition, she has a particular affinity for students who just struggle with “doing school”: how to stay organized, how to break down large tasks into manageable goals, how to figure out what the question is asking and what the teacher is looking for in a strong answer.

About Jake

Jake holds a Masters degree in international education and has over a decade of full-time teaching experience, both face-to-face and online. With his expertise in the subject areas of English, math, technology, science, and social science, he is dedicated to providing high-quality education tailored to meet the unique needs of each child. He creates customised lesson plans based on each child’s abilities, learning style and goals, ensuring individualised instruction and academic progress.

Jake’s online platform provides an engaging space where children actively participate, ask questions and receive immediate feedback to enhance their learning.
